About die-cutting & finishing in Dubai

Finishing is what separates a printed sheet from a product. Our post-press floor holds die-cutters, a foil and emboss press, laminators, a folder-gluer, guillotines and a contour plotter — so a die-cut box or a soft-touch card with gold foil is one job with one schedule, not three suppliers and three collection trips.

Foil stamping presses metallic or pigment foil into the sheet with heat and a magnesium or copper die. It is the finish clients recognise instantly on invitations, luxury packaging and premium business cards, and it can be combined with a blind emboss for a raised, tactile brand mark.

Spot UV lays a high-gloss varnish over selected artwork only, which reads beautifully against a matt laminate. Soft-touch laminate adds a velvet hand-feel and, importantly for Dubai, resists fingerprints in high-humidity environments.

Custom die-cutting handles anything a straight trim cannot: shaped tags, pocket folders, window boxes, hang-hole cards, rounded corners and intricate contour-cut stickers.

More about Die-Cutting & Finishing

Die-Cutting & Finishing at Printing Shop runs on platen die-cutting, foiling and binding equipment in our Al Quoz plant in Dubai. The floor exists for one reason: the finishing operations that turn printed sheets into a product. Every job on this line is colour-managed to the same G7 targets as the rest of the building, so work can move between processes without a visible shift in brand colour.

The finishing floor is where a printed sheet becomes a product. Platen die-cutters, hot-foil presses, laminators and binding lines run in the same building as the presses, so nothing waits on a subcontractor. Our prepress team preflights every incoming file free of charge, checks bleed, resolution, spot colours and trapping, and returns a digital proof for approval before anything is committed to press. Colour-critical jobs can be proofed on the final substrate.

Most work on this line is delivered within two to five working days from approval, and rush slots are available when a deadline is fixed. Delivery is free across Dubai and next day to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and the Northern Emirates. Because print, finishing, packing and installation all sit under one roof, there is one team accountable for the schedule.

Send a brief through the quote form with your quantities, sizes and deadline, attach any artwork you already have, or push the same details to WhatsApp for a reply within two working hours. If you are still scoping the job, ask for a sample pack or a structural sample and we will get one to your office before you commit.

Die-Cutting & Finishing FAQs

How much does a custom die cost?
A steel-rule die for a card or tag typically runs AED 350–600 and is made locally within 48 hours. We store it, so any reprint of the same shape carries no die charge again.
Can you foil stamp a small quantity?
Hot foil is economical from about 250 pieces. Below that we use digital foil (Foil Fusion), which achieves a similar metallic look with no die and no minimum.
What is the difference between spot UV and lamination?
Lamination covers the whole sheet with a film for protection and feel; spot UV is a varnish applied only to chosen areas for contrast. Most premium cards use both — matt laminate with spot UV over the logo.
Do you finish print produced by another supplier?
Yes. We regularly laminate, die-cut, fold and bind sheets printed elsewhere, provided the trim size, grain and bleed suit our machines — send a sample and we will confirm.
