350 GSM is the everyday standard and suits most corporate cards. 400 GSM feels noticeably more substantial and is the common choice for real estate, hospitality and law firms. 450 GSM and duplexed 600 GSM cards are for premium brands where the card itself is part of the pitch.
Matt lamination is scuff resistant and photographs well. Gloss lifts photographic artwork. Soft-touch adds a velvet feel and pairs well with spot UV, which raises a gloss varnish over a logo. Hot foil in gold, silver, rose gold and copper is applied on a separate pass.
PVC cards are waterproof and used for membership and access cards. NFC cards embed a chip that opens a URL or contact card on tap. Metal and cotton cards are produced to order with a 5–7 working day lead time.
Send a CMYK PDF at 300 dpi, 96 × 56 mm including 3 mm bleed, with all text kept 4 mm inside the trim. Keep rich black at C60 M40 Y40 K100 for solid backgrounds.
